Equilibrio 2018: Dance Festival

The Festival Equilibrio 2018, with Roger Salas’ artistic direction for the second year, focuses on France this year. This is a three-year program that started in 2017 with the Festival dedicated to Germany and will end in 2019 with a Festival dedicated to Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland). In these latest 40 years, France has been the heart of great productions and initiatives of contemporary dance in Europe and world widely.
This festival dedicated to France will show the work of modern French choreographers and the universal interest of their contemporary repertoire, unknown to the Roman audience until today.
The Opera Ballet of Lione on 24 and 25 February; shows by Systeme Castafiore (17 -18 February), Maguy Marin (13 February) and Hervé Koubi (21 February) a must-see for his urban rhythms and modern dance. Koubi will debut his “Les Nuits Barbares” in Italy, which has been acclaimed by critics worldwide. The director of the magazine Ballet2000 France – Alfio Agostini – will have a debate with renowned French critics who will focus on analyzing the relation between France and Italy in dance.
