Guest House Tiburtina House
Do you like to experience the real Rome, to see an alternative area very close to the city centre? Bologna/Nomentano is a good choice. This semi-central residential neighborhood immediately outside the north-east part of the ancient walls, may surprise you. Just far enough from the city centre to avoid his chaos, but close enough to have easy and efficient access to Romes most important must-see-sights. Bologna/Nomentano prides itself on leafy green spaces like Villa Torlonia and a very friendly and quiet atmosphere.
Bologna/Nometana Must Sees
Villa Torlonia, the smallest of Roman parks, and once Mussolini’s residence, currently encloses a refined restaurant, three museums, playground, children’s technological museum, Jewish catacombs, and carefully landscaped grounds.
The Early Christian monumental complex of S.Agnese and Santa Costanza: catacombs, stunning mosaics and archeological excavations make for a fascinating visit.

The logistic, close to the stop of the subway “Bologna” (line B), makes our hotel a perfect home from a strategic point of view, for a holiday in Rome. It ensures an excellent position for the arrival and departure to Fiumicino Airport with the non stop train “Leonardo Express” and shuttle buses from Termini statiom, the FL1 regional train from Tiburtina station and to Ciampino Airport from Termini station with shuttle busses.
From and to Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airport (also known as Leonardo da Vinci airport)
Buses take about 45 minutes to get to Rome Termini station from Fiumicino airport in normal traffic conditions, but it can take considerably longer if traffic is heavy. For a return trip to the airport, allow lots of extra time, because at busy times, buses fill up quickly and you may have to wait longer for a bus than you anticipated.
At Fiumicino airport, the bus departure points are outside of Terminal 3, to your right as you leave the terminal.
Express train (€14 per person).
The Leonardo Express train is a non-stop service between FCO and Rome Termini ( Rome termini is the major station in the city). Trains depart every half hour from 6:23 to 23:23, and the trip takes 32 min. From the central station Rome Termini you are connected with the metro (line B). In 3 stops you reach metro station Bologna.
Suburban train (€8 per person).
The FL1 metropolitan service connects Fiumicino Airport with the station of Roma Tiburtina. The FL1 suburban service has a number of stops. This is usually the best and cheapest way to reach our hotel. The trains leave Fiumicino airport starting at 5:57, with the last departure of the day at 22:42. Departures are frequent at the rush hours, and 15 to 20 minutes apart in the middle of the day. From Tiburtina station you can reach our hotel by walking. Otherwise in 1 stop you reach metro station Bologna.
The fixed fare for a Rome taxi is €48 between FCO and central Rome (within the Aurelian walls) for up to four people and their luggage. Our guest house is outside of the Aurelian walls. No fixed rate is applied, so it may be convenient to book a private taxi. We will be pleased to help.
Taxis licensed by the City of Rome, have the City Council’s crest (with “SPQR”) painted on the doors. Taxi stands are located just outside the Terminal of Fiumicino airport. They stay in a long row and you can order a taxi on the spot as soon as you get out from the airport. Ask to the driver, before to get in how much does a taxi cost from Rome airport to our guest house.
by private car and driver
We can arrange on demand a transfer from or to the airports of Roma Fiumicino (FCO).
From and to Ciampino Airport (CIA)
by shuttle bus to Termini station:
Several companies of shuttle bus (ATRAL, Terravision, SitShuttle) connect Ciampino airport and Termini station, in the centre of Rome. There is no big difference between the service and the price (some 4-6 €) of each company. If you land in Ciampino, the best option is just going to the square in front of the airport and buying the ticket of the bus which looks ready to leave. From the central station Rome Termini you are connected with the metro (line B). In 2 stops you are at metro station Bologna.
Official taxis connect Ciampino with the centre of Rome (the area inside the Aurelian Walls) for the fixed fare of 30€ (one, two, three or four people including luggage). The fixed fare is exposed on the sides of the taxis. Our guest house is outside of the Aurelian walls. No fixed rate is applied, so it may be convenient to book a private taxi. We will be pleased to help.
